Everyone needs an origin story

Sadly, I was not bitten by a radioactive bookworm that wriggled out of the National Archives...

Bluestocking Books was born in the red hot flames of the London Bookshop Crawls of 2016 and 2017, on marathons of book shopping with book bloggers, collectors and readers. The joy of discovery, the fun of sharing recommendations and camaraderie inspired my bookshop tours.

Since 2015 Ninja Book Box has been organising an event to bring readers together in London for a celebration of independent bookshops.

Whether local or visiting London for the day, stop in the participating bookshops between 9th and 11th February 2018. The big list of shops and a London Bookshop Crawl id are downloadable for free and many shops offer discount or goodies during the weekend. Even free books! Be sure to print out and bring your id.

Open to all, the London Bookshop Crawl 2018 includes fully accessible bookshops, children's bookshops, comic bookshops plus so much more. See you out there!
