You're invited: pop-up, bookshop carols and London's got a brand new shelf

The holidays are a great time to ring in the changes, here are three new ways to celebrate books in London:
Thursday 6 December - Opera Holland Park will be at Cecil Court around 6 pm for Carols and Cheer. If you've been on a bookshops tour to Cecil Court you know how wonderful it is - a great excuse to stop by and say hello to the booksellers.

A brand new bookshop The Second Shelf has opened at 14 Smith's Court in Soho, just off Brewer Street. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10-6, the shop stocks modern first editions, antiquarian books by women authors and some special items. It is very welcoming, so stop by and say hello, you may see a familiar face. Not far from Gosh! comics (in photo above)
Just heard about a pop-up photography bookshop Bookcase at Wren Gallery 3-14 December, right near Old Street Station. Be faster than me, the last popup bookshop I visited was 12 hours gone! Or if you're near Broadway Market one of my new stops - Donlon Books - always has a phenomenal unique selection of photography.
Send a note if you'd like to gift a friend with a voucher for a bookshop tour. Best wishes!
